The 30-day plan to get off page 2 of Google
The pages that will pay off fastest are the ones Google already shows, just a little too low: in positions 11 to 20, on the second page. This plan finds them in your Search Console, rewrites them, links them to the rest of the site and measures the result, in four weeks and one hour per working day.

- Find in 20 minutes the pages and searches closest to page one.
- Rewrite each target page with a fixed method: title, first sentence, content, proof.
- Measure on day 30 what has moved, page by page, in a table you keep.
For owners of online shops, service websites and content sites who already have Search Console with a few weeks of data. No advanced technical skills are needed; some of the week 3 actions are done with your web provider or your site builder.

An extract: Before you start: access and the rules of the game
Three accounts, one measurement rule and one table: without them, there is no way to know what worked.
- Open your site’s Search ConsoleIf it does not exist yet, create a domain property and verify it through DNS. You need a few weeks of data to follow this plan; with no history, start with week 4 (new page) and come back to the plan in a month.
- Open Bing Webmaster Tools by importBing lets you import your sites from Search Console: they are verified automatically, and traffic data arrives within about 48 hours. Five minutes, and you are tracking a second search engine.
- Note the start date (day 0)Every comparison is made over equal periods: the 28 days before day 0 against the 28 days after the last change. Always ignore the last two days of data, which are still incomplete.
- Prepare the tracking tableOne row per target page: address, target search, position and clicks before, action taken and date, position and clicks after. The template is in chapter 6.
Our tip: Do not change more than ten pages during these 30 days. Fewer pages, better worked and measured, teach you more than a full redesign.
Next: Week 1: find your page 2 pages
The rest is in the PDF: 31 points in all, 6 chapters, and a final page to run your website through the free audit.

Do I need technical skills?
Not for weeks 1, 2 and 4. Week 3 (structured data, speed, redirects) is often done with your web provider or in your site builder’s settings.
How much time per day?
About one hour per working day. Week 2 is the longest: one rewritten page a day.
What if my Search Console has no data?
Start by checking indexing and by creating one well-made page on a real search (week 4), then come back to the plan once you have a few weeks of data.
